Prenatal massage is a gentle, safe, and deeply relaxing treatment designed to relieve pressure on the body, reduce tension in the back and neck, improve circulation, and help minimize leg swelling.
It provides relief, reduces stress, and supports the well-being of both the mother and the baby.
The treatment is performed in a comfortable position, using specially selected techniques and products suitable for pregnancy.
When can you have a prenatal massage:
• from the second trimester (after 12 weeks)
• also in the third trimester, if the pregnancy is progressing normally
Massage is not performed during the first trimester due to increased sensitivity of the body.
Contraindications:
The treatment is not performed if:
• the pregnancy is high-risk or complications are present
• there is bleeding, spotting, or lower abdominal pain
• pregnancy-induced hypertension or preeclampsia is diagnosed
• there is severe swelling of unknown origin
• gestational diabetes is not properly controlled
• there are acute infections, fever, or skin conditions
• thrombosis, inflammation of the veins, or acute varicose veins are diagnosed
• the attending physician does not approve massage
• multiple pregnancy with a recommendation to limit activity
